Intern Profile: Caroline Pyevich

Caroline Pyevich interned with VRG for 10 weeks this past summer. We're very grateful for all Caroline accomplished, including researching and writing articles, helping at outreach booths, and completing administrative work. After all she did for VRG, she wrote a letter, which she graciously allowed us to reprint, thanking Charles for her internship. VRG also thanks Carole Hamlin for housing Caroline during her stay in Baltimore.

Dear Charles,

I wanted to let you know that I found my experiences at VRG extremely rewarding, and I am thankful that I had the chance to come to Baltimore and meet all these vegans. I remember talking with you on the phone before I came out here, and I felt dubious I would ever actually make the journey to the East. Now, I can't believe that my experience is over.

I learned more this summer than I probably learned in the past two years at school. One of the most important things I now understand is a new way of living. I don't want to be a destructive force in this world; I want to do the least harm to all involved. I think working at VRG has provided me with more strength to uphold my beliefs. I am happy to know that people such as yourself are working so hard for a positive change in this world in which we struggle just to survive.

Again, thanks for giving some unknown midwestern girl a chance.
